Potteric Carr, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, Doncaster. A pleasant walk on a sunny day, spotted a few pipers, but the photos here include some commonly sighted birds. Not too many insects out that day, but there was a strange fluffy-white coating to the forest floor near the rail bridge in the middle of the woodland walk route.

Another trip to Potteric Carr. This time we encounter grouse walking up the path, some shovel ducks and a huge green dragonfly.
